Debating Europe is what we do. It’s also what we want to encourage our readers to do – learning how to interact with both policymakers and citizens in online debates about European issues. Crafting and presenting an argument is a skill, and only by practicing it regularly can we build up the confidence to participate in public discussion. To that end, Debating Europe regularly supports the work of debating societies from all across the continent.
So, for the ‘Speak UP!’ series of debates, Debating Europe, in partnership with IDEA, the Solvay Debate Society and the Brussels Debaters, will be hosting a series of debates on some of the big issues facing European society.
