DO NOT BE UNNECESSARILY PROVOCATIVE
We understand that what one person considers acceptable another might deem offensive, but we reserve the right to remove any content that we deem to be offensive without adding anything to the debate. We want to encourage people to share their views, but please do so in a constructive manner, without trying to offend for the purposes of humour or to make a point.
NO HATE SPEECH
We will not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia or other forms of hate-speech.
KEEP IT LEGAL
We do not allow any illegal activities on our platform.
KEEP IT RELEVANT
Please keep comments related to the original topic. Off-topic comments may be removed, in order to keep the thread on track. DEBATING EUROPE VOTE 2014
We have included, on the Debating Europe Vote 2014 voting page, a list of the national parties that belong to each group in the European Parliament. This has been done to help users understand which parties belong to which group.
We have also included certain parties under the “Other” group, but only if those parties already have elected representatives either in the European Parliament or in the main legislature of a Member State (i.e. we do not include parties that are represented only in regional or local legislatures). There are hundreds (if not thousands) of political parties in Europe that are either not represented in legislatures or only represented in regional or local legislatures, and we are simply unable to administrate a list with that many parties.
However, even if your party is either not currently represented in any legislature or is only represented at local or regional level, then users can still vote for your party in Debating Europe Vote 2014. If they choose “Other” in the list of options, then this will indicate they intend to vote for a party that is not currently a member of one of the groups in the European Parliament.
